Attorney Michael J. Betts serves as an arbitrator in private arbitrations, and he is on the roster of arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) for commercial and consumer cases and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Dispute Resolution.
Attorney Michael Betts serves as a neutral in early neutral evaluations (ENE). ENE is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) that is being used more frequently to settle disputes in the early stages of the litigation process. Like its cousin mediation, ENE is nonbinding.
Mr. Betts has been qualified by the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania to serve on the Court’s roster of approved ADR neutrals for resolving discovery- related disputes, including disputes relating to the discovery of electronically stored information (“ESI”).
